A War Torn World- Day 5

"when do we get to kill that ugly beast"

"Alright, I won't." He said rolling his eyes to her comment. "Alright, if we're going to talk to master on such matters, let's go." He said, holding out a hand to Shali. "Come on."

Shali took his hand, not knowing what he was about to do.

*Sits down*
"Ill just wait here then"

In a flash of black fire, the two were gone, now in the Nether. Nova let go of Shali's hand and slipped into the darkness. "Come on, Shali. Master's waiting." He said to her, walking ahead into the abyss.

Shali ran after him, chewing her lip.

Nova stopped in the darkness suddenly. He turned around to Shali, eyes glowing red. "Close your eyes Shali." He almost commanded. "Master no longer wishes you to be blinded to the truth. I will remove the veil of shadows from your eyes, and you will soon see the Nether's true form." He explained, ominously.

Shali closed her eyes, scared.

Nova removed the veil those who were not "blessed" saw. Around them now stood the Nether as it truly was. And, trust me, it was no generic "hell". Around them was a tapestry of skin and flesh, sewn to the what was supposedly the walls, and minors ran a muck. Of course, even they were not cute little imps. Most of them appeared as mutilated humans and other species, with organs in the wrong place, missing limbs, etc. Also, multiple poppets were present, each performing some sort of duty. In the center of it all, before Nova and Shali, was the man in the black suit, but he now wore a crown of bone, and sat in a chair made of what appeared to be bone and sinew. Beside him stood the Zare poppet, holding the crystal ball, which showed the events of the "real world". Nova bent down to Shali, whose eyes were still closed and whispered in her ear. "Now, open your eyes, but be warned, you will not like what you see. I promise you, however, I did not pick the 'decor'." He said softly.

Shali opened her eyes, and bit her tongue to keep from screaming. She managed not to puke, as she accidentally looked at Zare.

"Welcome Shali." The man in the suit said to her. His voice was no longer rough and ominous, but a bit stern.

Shali looked at their master, terrified.

Nova nudged the back of her head. "SPEAK!" He loud whispered.

Shali looked at him, terrified. What am I supposed to say? She thought, wishing she were invisible.

"For starters, you could say hello, damnit." Their master said. "I wanted to talk to you two about the upcoming events."

"Master, if I may interrupt, that prophecy..." Nova started.

"Nova, it does not matter if it is true or not, something is going down." Their master interjected.

"That's true." Shali whispered,finding her voice.

"Well...what do you two plan on doing than?" Their master asked.

"Well...I'll play along, but if that creature tries to turn on us, we'll snap it in two." Nova said. "Besides, like I said, this is probably some ploy to make itself seem powerful. He'll probably open some waygate, make a mess, TRY to kill me, 'save the day', and go about like a hero, and brag to the rest of his scum kind he killed a demon, even though I'm not." Nova explained again.

"And you, Shali?" Their master asked.

"Play along until something goes wrong, probably do something stupid, end up making Avelion way to smug, stab the monster, and end up doing more stupid things." Shali said matter of factly. "One things for sure, it's getting hurt."

"Alright than..." Their master said, not all too satisfied, but sedated. "If that's the plan, go for it." He said.

"That's it?" Nova asked.

"Mostly, but of course I called Shali down here to remove the veil." He said. "That way, if **** does go down, she can be of more assistance."

Nova leaned to the probably confused Shali and whispered. "Once the veil has been lifted, you can do more, like go demon blood form. Like I did." He explained. "Yours might look different, though."

Shali looked at Nova. "You mean like you did that one time?" She whispered back, confused.

"Yep!" Nova exclaimed. "Hopefully yours isn't as...nasty." He said. "That black goo **** is gross...though cool."

Shali didn't say it, but she thought Nova's actually looked pretty cool. "I hope so to." She said, chewing her lip.

"Alright, let's go." Nova said, and in a flash they were back again to the castle.

Once they got to the castle, Shali ran to a toilet and threw up, then came back.

"Wow..." the voice commented, as Shali vomited. "That bad?"
