Week One- Welcome to Hogwarts!

The woman dropped the hat on his head. After a moment, it yelled "SLYTHERIN!" Shali smiled.

"Slither in what?" Nick asked, jokingly. He snickered a bit, and sat at his table.

Shali rolled her eyes. "Idiot."

"Oh....hey Shali!" Nick said to her. "You got Slytherin too?"

"Yep."

"Cool. At least I know someone here in my house." He said.

"Vincent's here to."

"Eww..." Nick said.

Shali sighed. "Be nice..."

"That wasn't a rule." Nick said.

"You've just met the girl who may very well punch you if you aren't nice."

"I haven't been nice this whole time. Why now?" Nick asked. "They already got in your head?"

"More like the people I've known before have. I have a inability to be snotty."

"That's a relief." Nick said.

Shali rolled her eyes.

"But, you're still admitting to being a problem." Nick pointed out.

Shali froze. "Oh, gods..."

Shali looked at Vincent, scared.

Shali relaxed, slightly, but now she stayed alert.

Suddenly, Shali grinned. "Jaime'll be so jealous, HE didn't get the letter."

"Is that really such a bad thing?" Nick asked, looking around a bit. "Though I bet having powers will be cool, we're the minority, not him. He doesn't have to hide who he really is in public. He doesn't have to avoid being himself." Nick said. "He doesn't scare his muggle parents and family." Nick added slightly sadly.

"That's where your wrong, Nick. He has to hide his presence out of home, our he's miserable. He wants to FIT IN." Shali whispered, thinking about her brother.

Shali shrugged.

Food appeared on the tables.

Shali smiled. "I guess it won't be so strange here after all."
