Day One

Annette notices his confusion and pats him with one of her tails, as if to say don't worry about it.

Zarkaeloth seizes his meditation, if one would call leaning on a tree 'meditation' and looks at Annette, making no signs of coherent thought or even emotion, he just stares, a blank look in his eyes, his scales flickered, just a bit, this is just nothing, right?

Rylini slams the orb into the ground, and it shatters, much like glass. As it does so, dark tentacles sink into the ground, and the plant matter around it turns black, spreading in a very abstract, random manner.

Vicheryn sees more shattered images as she goes deeper, until she breaks into a perfectly split section. One side is full of violence, joy, and blood, the other a velvet, soothing, subtle room, full of elegance and grace. The border between them is made up by an unsure girl, full of awkward power, but strong.

The ground suddenly and quite rapidly returns to it's normal color, and Rylini stands up, done training, and ready to move on.

Lina rolls her shoulders, standing near a tree, trying to take in all that has happened.

Vicheryn mentally steps back, searching for anything pertaining to language, giving the girl her due amount of privacy.

She sees and hears lessons in the early years, then letters written in blood, then reading papers in a dark room.

Vichery attempts to glean the linguistic meanings of these letters, gently pushing a little.

Unnerved, Annette's tails start flicking around wildly.

Lysp carefully observes Vicheryn and the vampire girl.

Understanding of the language suddenly floods into her, along with a hint of Mariya's own psychic talent.

Vicheryn gently eases herself out of the girl's mind, slowing down to a crawl so as not to hurt the poor dear by pulling out too quickly.

Lysp tilts his head, wondering what just happened.

Annette is now on high alert, anxious of what is to come now that the vampire girl isn't distracted.

A smoke bomb explodes shattering the silence and astonishing everyone around. A small figure emerges as the smoke clears. He is rather old, bald, has a huge pair of sunglasses, and has a beard that would make most jealous.

The curious man snaps his fingers and an ice cream cone appears in his left hand. He takes a lick and then says "Did I miss something?"

Annette gasps, in awe of the new figure. "Who are you, sir?" She takes note of the ice cream cone he is wielding, her eyes narrowing as she sees the potential for a weapon.

The old man eyes over the young vixen, and finishes off the ice cream cone. "I am Baxter Veximillion the 3rd, and I am here to teach you all my great powers." He snaps his fingers and a very weighty wooden cane appears.

Rylini's staff goes from her back to her hand in a very short amount of time, and glares at the newcomer. "Okay, screw this! Can I kill -him-?

Lysp sits down and suppresses a laugh.

Baxter stares directly at the possible attacker boldly and states "If you wish to kill me, you will have destroyed any chance you have at peace with yourself"

Zarkaeloth walks up to Baxter. "I need not your teachings, and if you wish not to see yourself destroyed you will not interrupt my meditation again."

Baxter grins and states "I see you are quite the uptight one." Baxter walks to where he can address everyone present "I will make all of you an offer, come with me and I can teach you amazing powers such as the ones you have seen so far. I am not here to make enemies, but only friends."

Annette scoffed, looking down upon the old man. "Amazing powers? You look like you can barely walk."

"I'm going to have to say no, now leave me be." Zarkaeloth sits by the tree and pulls out a curious looking tome, and starts studying the contents.

Her attention flits over to Zarkaeloth, holding something that she, herself, had never experienced before in her life of sucking out the souls of men. She sets herself down beside him, reaching out with a small hand to touch the tome. "What is this?" she asked, curiosity taking over.
