Day One

Liron looks over at Royastlin. "Of ~course~ you're coming. I'll pay you in shiny crap. ...And maybe magic weapons."

"Okay!" Annette replied cheerfully, ears perking up. "Where are we going again? I don't mind as long as there's something to eat."

His hand moves down to one of his daggers swiftly and plucks it out, and begins spinning it in his hand expertly. "Magic weapons eh?" He sounds notably doubtful. "You lot look like you barely have common sense between you."

The fur on Annette's tails went on end, the pupils in her liquid amber eyes narrowing to slits. She spun around to face Royastlin, anger sparking in her mind. "Excuse me, not all of us can be as cocky, arrogant, narcissistic, holier-than-thou, and mind-numbingly egotistical as you." Her orb flared deep crimson, any shred of immaturity gone. Well, except for the fact that she could jump from emotions so rapidly.

"..." Lina shakes her head with a sigh. "Right. Not saying a word."

Liron grins. "I have lots of magic weapons! And if I don't, I'll just enchant one!"

Royastlin offers Annette an arched eyebrow with a knowing smile. "My my, aren't we judgemental this morning."

"Please no fighting. The forest doesn't like fighting." Kyran says.

Royastlin leans away from the tree and steps forward several paces, still twirling his dagger. "If you think this is a fight, I'd hate to see what happens when I punch someone. I'd almost be afraid that you'd get a heart attack, kiddo." he sounds highly amused.

"Then go ahead and hit me, if you're so tough. Come on, snap a few bones of mine. Crack some ribs." Annette held her head high, but tiny seeds of anxiety planted themselves in her heart, slowly blooming into fear. "Take your best shot."

Lina clears her throat. "Threaten the kid, and I won't be even nearly as nice as I have been." She moves closer to the boy, protectively. "And please stop trying to make he forest angry, it's really not a good idea, you two."

Annette gaped at Lina, awestruck. Did she really expect to let this guy go on acting how he had? "What's the forest going to do, kill me? I'm not supposed to be alive anyway. I'm an accident of wishful thinking." Her gauntlet glowed white hot as her orb, now an angry crimson, conducted heat through the carved metal.

"No need for meanness." He'd glare adorably, but he's still in the bundle of vines.

Roy rolls his eyes and stares at Lina. "Why would I punch some kid? Give me a break, do I look like I'm that deranged? I'm clearly miles ahead of most of you people in terms of just... sense." He sounds rather self assured as he speaks the last word with a slight huff, the dagger stops twirling when he finishes speaking and he sheaths it.

"Yeah, kill you sounds like something this forest might do. Please calm down?" She looks to the man. "...Scaring him counts, you know..." She huffs a little.

Ironically, while Vicheryn simply smiles at all of this, Shon moves in between them, giving them looks that are half terrified and half beseeching as he tries to prevent a fight.

"...That's stupid."

Annette stopped bristling, but her orb was still a hue of scarlet. She peered warily at everyone, feeling somewhat betrayed, even if she had just met them.

"Children should be protected!"

Shon walks over to Annette, smiling softly, shyly up at her, and holds out an apple.

Annette instantly ceases her rampage, looking at Shon curiously. She reaches over and puts one hand on the apple, using the other hand to point toward herself as if to say 'For me?'.

Roy shrugs, glancing at Lina. "Don't tell me, children should be loved and cared for and told they can do anything they put their minds to?" he speaks with a whimsically theatrical wave of his right hand.

"That last bit, maybe not, but the first, yes."
