Day One

Lysp grins and glances at the two of them. "I see that, and I see you two know each other as well, care to introduce us?"

Rylini flicks her hand, and magic instantly starts glowing, and she says in a vague joking tone, "Portals work."

Lysp laughs, and his ears fall off. "Not to worry, cutting my ears off probably wouldn't even work." The ears become a thin mist and become absorbed into his body, and new ears form on his head.

A devious smile crosses Rylini's face. "Two things why that wouldn't work love. One, daddy would just have them come back, and two, you'd be dead from either me or daddy before you even got halfway close to me with a knife. Quaint little threat though." She flicks her hand again, and the magic fades.

"... Stop being arguey, crazy person. Please." Kyran says to Jordis, with what appears to be constrained anger. "The forest simply wishes to survive. If there are two cities that stay away from each other, but do not fight, all is well. We- I simply follow, I do not lead."

Liron glances at Kyron over his shoulder. He blinks,, looks at Jordis, Vicheryn, and Rylini, and points at Kyran over his shoulder with his thumb. "What the kid said. Stop fighting, please and thank you." Liron smirks, grey eyes glinting.
Lina looks incredibly nervous. "Guuuys, I told you, weird stuff happens here! We shouldn't make the forest mad! It's a really-really-really bad idea!"

"Because the leaders of the cities are. If they are not fighting, then you can hunt dragons easier." Kyran's eyes are glowing light blue.

"No, they're not!" Lina actually shouts this, voice brimming with indignant anger. "The dragons came into the picture years after the wars began! It's not their fault, it's because the leaders are -stupid-!" Lina says this all in a rush, not pausing to breath. After a moment passes, Lina pales, meeps, and hides behind the nearest tree.

"I am not here for a fight, and I do not believe squabbling is what this group is destined to do."
Shon laughs in his simple way, and runs over to Kyran, attempting to play.
"Be gentle, Shon," Vicheryn says, smiling at her friend's love of life.

His eyes stop glowing as Shon approaches, and he smiles at the man. "Your friend is friendly!" He says, giggling.

"Life should always be cherished. That's why this war makes the forest so sad." Kyran smiles a sad smile.

Lina stays hidden behind her tree, looking highly embarrassed.

"Yes, it should be. However, the very people who should most cherish it seem to be the ones who love to throw it away."

Seeing the look on Kyran's face, Shon shambles closer, grinning at him. "Don' be s-sad," he says, gently lifting him up to his shoulder.

Kyran smiles happily again. "The forest tells me this. Okay, then, friend Shon."

Shon grin gets even bigger, as he pulls off his shoes and tries to climb a tree.

Kyran points out a branch. "That branch right there!" He laughs.

Lina peeks out from behind the tree, and, hesitantly, steps out from behind it.

Shon laughs, reaching up to grab it and puling them both up with one hand, before finding sturdy foothold. Shon seems unusually athletic for some reason, as he keeps climbing.
