A War Torn World- Day 5

"Ehh...later, kay?" Nova said to Aisse.

"Actually, the ritual only takes a couple of seconds. I could do it here and now. It hurts a little, seeing as you stab yourself, but then you heal it with the power."

Shali rolled her eyes, then looked at the ball of flesh the girl had given her. "Why did you give me this?"

"Because that is a condensed fleshling. If you think of it opening, like a flower, or a mouth, it will form a full fleshling, that will obey your thoughts."

"Cool." Shali said, trying that out.

The fleshling formed, and it's blades extended. 'What-krik-Can I do-reh- for you mast-krik-er'

"It will also form if you lose consciousness."

"Neat. Can I name it?"

"Yes, but if you give it a name, it will get a mind to go with it. It will still serve you, but it will be more like our service. It gets life and power, you get a weapon, a extra set of eyes, ears, nose, and so on. You can't use it's senses without naming it."

"Huh." Shali shrugged. "That would be disorienting."

"Do you want the fleshling power?"

"Yes."

"This will creep you out." She said, and pulled out her knife. It was long and jagged and definitely cruel looking. It had what seemed to be a permanent bloodstain on it. But the worst of it was far, far creepier than that. It's handle was made of flesh. Living flesh. "Stab yourself, in the side, and be ready, cause when you pull it out, a chunk of you will be ripped out. I will place a small bit of fleshling flesh there, and you shall use it too heal the area."

"Not going to do it then. I've stab my self once already, and I'm not going to repeat the experience. It's not the most pleasant experience." Shali said.

"Actually, it's designed to cause the least amount of pain. It's covered in numbing and anti pain medicines. It'll only sting, and that only for a second."

"What is it with people and getting me to stab myself? N.O. NO!" Shali yelled, outraged. "I don't LIKE stabbing myself, thank you very much!"

"Okay, but it's your loss. " She said, and created a fleshling that looked like a cat, acted like a cat, and basically was a cat, it even had the fur. It went up to Aisse, and purred.

Avelion hopped down from the roofs. "Does that deal apply to me to?"

Shali looked at Avelion. "Av'?" "I'm gonna learn to protect my self without relying on my race."

Nova yawned, and coughed once. "So...what are we gonna do now?" He asked.

Shali shrugged.

"Kill things and make a fleshling army? You could do the ritual now, even you, Avelion."

Avelion glanced at Shali, then gave a slight nod and walked over Assie. "I'll do it." He said. "If it's what you REALLY want, I won't stop you."

"Just stab your side with this." She said, tossing him the knife.

"If you allow the Avelion to have that power, I'll kill you." The voice told Aisse. "Are you trying to go against us already?"
