A War Torn World- Day 5

"Wha?" Aisse said, startled.

"You are in the position Shali was in, and are doing what ever you can to save your race. Your braver then me." Avelion let go of her, then ran off. He hid in a corner and cried. Shali blinked. "Av'? He's crying? Why is he crying?" She whispered, chasing after him. "Av'!" She yelled, as he ran out into the storm. She watched him fly towards the forest, and chased after him.

"Well...WRONG!" Nova said to Aisse's question about the servitude. Doing the loser L with his fingers, and pushing them into Aisse's head, he pushed her back a little. "The contract Shali, I, and...others have signed is one of demanding loyalty, and sacrifice. Shali has not even began to see the toll yet. More or less, any humanoid being is a servant of my master, seeing as he feeds on the sins of the mortals, and anything that sins gives him sustenance. However, those like Shali and myself go around collecting bargains, making offers, and harvesting even more sin, for he can't get it all, and are more or less his 'apprentices'." Nova explained. "Master gives us many powers, so he must constantly look over us, to make sure we do not go against him." Nova said, his expression changing from smug intelligence to an almost ominous tone. "Or else we face the price. The forced loyalties of the poppets." He said coldly. He then returned to normal. "Master never has need for more apprentices, Aisse, the others and myself were just lucky enough to fall into his grace...no, his interest, through our...circumstances." Nova said.

((Does someone want to sign a demonic pact?))

"I wish it was that noble. Part of the reason I want them all back is because I'll be more powerful with all of them."

((Maayybee... :Grin: If Aisse does, you'll have all of the protections of the queen of an entire nation, you have to admit, that's pretty good. ))

Avelion reached the forest, and hid in the middle. "Shit **** **** **** ****! Why id he run off? ****! I've gotta get him, why does he do this sort of thing? Why couldn't I have a emotionally stable half brother?" She ran, stopping for breath. She was near the forest, and soaked.

*Lands next to Shali*
"What's wrong?"

"Avelion ran off crying, and he's gonna have set up wards so that I can't get to him. He's doing stupid things I usually do!" Shali said, starting to run towards the center of the forest. Several trees were ripped up by the hurricane as she ran by, and she tripped. Avelion sat under a tree, a dome of silver magic around him. He seemed to be crying, and Shali knew what he was doing. She got up, and leaped through his wards, getting scorched. He looked at her, then drew a knife from his pocket. He turned up one of his wrists, preparing to slit it, but first used shadow entangle on Shali. "Avelion, stop!"

*Freezes Avelion's hands*
"Now why would you want to kill yourself?"

"I'm worthless. I'm not brave enough to do what Shali did, not strong enough to protect the ones I love, and everyone else is better then me. My life doesn't mean a thing, so why shouldn't I end it?" Avelion said, making his shadows block Shali's mouth.

"So, he's jealous?" The voice asked, jokingly.

No, he's emotionally unstable and thinks he's worthless. Shali thought, struggling to get her hands out of the shadows. Avelion slit one of his wrists, and an adrenalin rush caused Shali to get free of the shadows. She ran over to Avelion, shaking him. "Avelion, please don't do this to me." She said, grabbing the knife from him. He smiled weakly at her. "I wont burden you ever again."
((He's not dead... Yet.))

"Yes, and since he committed the ultimate sin, I demand a feeding. Shali, do it." The voice commanded.

He's still alive though! Shali was shocked, looking at Avelion. Tears ran down his face, and blood ran out of his wrist. Shali noticed that he had slit it in a way that just caused unimaginable pain, not in a way that killed.
((Nova, don't be mean. Do you really think she can do that to her half brother? That's just CRUEL. Don't make me use the healer dragons.))

((Nova, you forgot Aisse.))

"If one wishes to end his or her own life, they have thrown everything the 'O So Great' over beings have given to them. This, is where I step in. If he nears death, you WILL feed on him." The voice said.

((I didn't forget her, jeez. I just don't really care right now. This is more exciting.))

((I can't really do anything with her until you post involving her, and this is what decides if she becomes a main character, and if you die.))

Shali nodded, determined not to let him near death. "Avelion, don't you DARE die on me. I swear that if you do, I will find the only dragon with the ability to resurrect people and force him to resurrect you, then I will MAKE you sorry." Shali said to him. He blinked. "Shali I- I'm sorry." "Don't give me that bullshit, Avelion. You aren't sorry in the slightest. Don't you even THINK about going near death." Shali glared at him, and he looked at her, shocked. He had no clue what her master had told her, so he assumed she was just being protective of him. He tore a strip of cloth off his shirt and used it to bandage his wrist.
((I am NOT going to make her feed off one of my favorite vict- I mean characters.))

"If he dies, I will not allow you to resurrect him." The voice said coldly.

((Maybe I should just eat Aisse? Would make things MUCH easier.))

((Sorry, not allowed. Then you'd have to die for sure.))

Well, then I can't let him die, can I? Not that he did a very good job of trying to kill his self. Shali responded to her master, helping Avelion up. She blew her whistle, and a dragon was there quickly. "Heal him. NOW." He's the only family I have left. I'm not going to let him die that easily.

"No..." The voice said. "If he really wants to live, he'll use his own will, and survive on his own power. Let him prove his own worth. Make the dragon leave, NOW!" The voice commanded.

((This is thoroughly ridiculous.))

Shali looked at the dragon, and it left. Avelion sighed, and started walking towards the city. "Not so fast, Av'. I'm not letting you out of my sight." Avelion sighed, reaching the city. He started heading towards the healer, and Shali leaned against a building. Once he was out of earshot, she decided to talk to their master. "You want him to survive of his own will? Fine then. He'll survive. He barely nicked the vein on his wrist, and he's to much of a coward." She said to the air, knowing he was listening. She wasn't about to let her only family die like that. She would NEVER let that happen.
