Paragon City

Ice nods in greeting, wandering once she reaches the top.

Psychowolf shrugs again. He really doesn't care one way or the other. He had come to listen, but to be honest, they HAD threatened his closest friend in the world, and that shit didn't play with him. Watching the thug burning, he wondered if they still sold marshmallows...

She comes across a few more of the red dressed thugs threatening a lady of nonhuman origin.

The slightly crazed thug notices him looking and charges. "All shall burn! BURN!" he screams.

"I'm really not up to dealing with your crap today..." he growls, pulling a lead pipe from his rumpled bag. Waiting until the precise moment, he steps to the side, aiming a crushing downward stroke upon the back of his opponent's skull and neck.

Ice huffs, freezing them.

The thugs ((ahem)) freeze.

Crazythug stops when hit and falls down. Psychowolf hears clapping from within the store. "Well done, well done." the smooth, uncaring, voice of someone who just does not give a fuck says.

Ice points her com at them and presses the button, before going to check on the woman.

"Thank you for helping me. Oh! I see you're from downstairs as well! The lady says.

"Yeah, yeah. Tell it to someone who gives a damn. You the boss?"

Ice nods. "{You okay? Want me to get you to a hospital?}"

"I'll be fine. Tell me, who IS my fine savior?" the lady asks, pulling her hood down over her face a bit more, to conceal herself.

"Obviously. I'm glad you came early. It would have been boring to wait." The man steps into view. Wearing dark red robes, most of his features are obscured, save for his glowing red eyes, and sharp teeth.

"L'ttle Ice D'v'l, 't y'r s'rv'ce."

"Ah! Good!" The lady pulls back her hood, grinning. Her features are now obvious, blue scales, glowing orange eyes, black hair going past her butt. She may be recognizable.

"{Good?}"

"Been here a while. Figured if you had anything to offer, you could handle it." He sighs, grimacing a little. "Look, I don't give a damn if you're some sort of freak. Doesn't bother me. Been called that myself. But the next time you want to issue an invitation. Ask. Leave the guns out of it."

"Aww! I'm hurt! You don't recognize me?" She grins. "How sad! My own little sister, forgetting her big sis the moment she got to the big city!" She makes an over-exaggerated sigh.

"If I did that, it would be less interesting. So, what brings you to my part of town?" the man says, walking closer.

Ice's eyes widen. "Sis!" Ice hugs the woman who is, apparently, her sister. "{How're the kids?}"

"Less interesting. More likely to get me in a cooperative mood. Nothing. Just a traveller, passing through this shitty town." The wolf growls at the stranger's approach, eyes fixed upon the area where the throat should be.

"They are well. They'll be especially well when they get these new presents." She starts taking magical artifacts off of the frozen thugs, using some kind of magic to reach through the ice.

"You call one of the largest cities in the world a shitty town? I wonder what it takes to impress you then!" The man laughs. It is a harsh, hateful laugh. "Enough pleasantry. Now for Business. Have you ever considered a life of crime? I've heard it pays rather well."

"{How old's little S, by the way? Still teething, right?}"

"I call it a shitty town cause it doesn't deal with its problems. These so-called heroes only care about things they can hit. Nothing really get solved, and the important issues are swept under the rug. This town gushes blood. Everywhere you go, there is some criminal, and no matter how many you put away, there's another one waiting. So yeah. Shitty town. As for that, I've done that life. Not sure I want to get involved in anything that might force me to stay."

"Yep. Well, I should go. Dea gets grumpy if I leave too long. She's in a clingy phase. You know how they get." the lady says, and stands up ... And up... and up. A few moments later a bright blue dragon flies out of the city.

"And if I offered you power and money beyond your wildest dreams?" the Man says, his sharp teeth showing a grin.

Ice chuckles, waving. "{Bye, sis.}"

"The money and power shtick, huh? Not my thing. I need none of it."

"Oh? Are you so certain? Tell me, what do you want?" the man says.

A voice comes over the com to Ice. "Reporting a disturbance at an artifact shop near your location. Directions being sent." The directions lead to where Psychowolf is.
