Area 15

Ben turns around towards Jaime again, and talks quickly, wanting to get in and out with as little confrontation as possible. "Okay, you go get that stuff that Shade wants, and I'll go get other stuff, like heavy jackets, blankets, shoes, and that sort of stuff, and then if I still have time, I'll go grab some of the canned goods, sound good?" Without waiting for a reply, he whips around, staff in hand, effectively reducing the head of a zombie looking for an easy meal to a bloody combination of brain matter and... other stuff.

"I Hate you people. I'm one of three who can do that...." Shade mutters, hotwiring the vehicle quickly. The engine sounds awful to him, and he physically winces at the sound.

Ben continues to make his way through the store, dispatching zombies quickly and quietly with a deadly combination of magic and staff.

"Chris, you go with him, I'm getting salt. Zombies are supposed to be weak to salt." I say, slamming my staff down to get it to light up with lightning.

Ben turns the corner of an aisle leading to the shoes and clothing, and is greeted with a rather large group of zombies. Deciding to do the stupid thing and be cautious, he ducks back down, preparing his spells and weapons.

Shade pops the hood of the shitty vehicle, examining what he had to work with.

It is, well, a shitty vehichle.

I start searching shelves, grabbing a cart nearby to hold the salt and items I grab. I blast, not very stealthy like, any zombie foolish enough to go near my pre charged staff.

Shade lets out a little sob at the sight of the engine, shaking his head. "Need to do a full teardown, probably have to replace more than I thought... hope they come... could use some help..." Shade mutters all of this while continuing to stare in a horrified manner at the engine.

"...Do you need some help? I don't know jack-shit about cars, but I watched my grampa fix my parent's shitty van enough times, I might be able to do something."

"No. No. Absolument pas. Working with experimental designs. New power source, frame, body material and electronics. Need the experts..."

"No time like the present." I take a bag of salt, ripping it open with the tip of the sword still strapped to my back, and throw a handful at the nearest zombie... Then I shrug and rip he bag more and throw the whole bag's worth at the zombie.

The zombie flails. It doesn't melt, but it gets mild burns everywhere the salt touched.

"You know, your brother has terrible taste in vehicles..."

"We needed a big truck."

"There are better trucks than this pile of crap."

"Bigger?"

"Yes. More powerful, too. I have worked with many vehicles. This is one of the worst. Gah. I'll need more time than usual..."

Ben turns back out, and unleashes several phantom dragons at the zombies, which last just long enough to take out the majority of the zombies, and then fade, leaving Ben exhausted.

"...How MUCH time?"

"Fifteen to thirty..."

((Okay, no more, and what about Kevin?)) Ben takes out the remainder of the zombies, and then surveys that aisles, trying to guess the approximate shoe size of the rest of the group, and picks out several pairs of boots and tennis shoes, according to that size, as well as some socks and new laces.

((Keep in mind, I wear size sixteens in real life.))
Slamming the hood shut, Shade sighs, thinking of his fancy new things.
"So... anyone have anything they want to do while we wait?"

"We could commit ritual suicide?"
