Ceria-Day One

"Whats with the hood anyways?" Lara says, as the automatic steel door opens in front of them.

"Heh. Kaley says that when she feels bad, she spends it on other people, like she did for that family back there."

"It keeps my hair from reflecting too much. A side effect of my power, I think. That, and there's a bit of non human blood somewhere in my line."

"I try to, but I can only help so many people. Plus, I don't have full control of my assets yet..."

Stopping dead in her tracks, Lara turns around and looks skeptically at her, "Wait?... Your hair..... sparkles?"

"Yep. Like diamonds, for some reason." She pulls out a few strands and lets the light hit them. They really do sparkle and shine like diamonds. "See?"

Jake looks at him. "Ah. Well, I've never had much myself, just what I get for fixing up older vehicles and computers." He turns again, and they are nearly at the graveyard.

"...Eh...bu...teh....ah whatever." Lara then turns around and waves to the woman at the secretary desk, "Hey Lucy! Look I found a new chick!" "Thats neat! Where'd ya find her?" "Actually, she found me." They continue the conversation for a minute more and then Lara continues to show Kyri around.

"But does that make you happy? Fixing things?"

"Yeah. It's what I do best." The gate was visible now, your usual graveyard gate.

She smiles at the woman. "Hi."

"Want a job?"

"Hey darling!" "You know if Keron's in today?" "Yeah, in his office." "Thanks. You coming?"

"Oh? What do you want fixed?" Jake asks, stopping the truck.

"Yep." She follows Lara.

Lara walks up to a deadlocked door with a keypad next to it and punches in a long sequence of numbers, and a green light pops up, "Welcome, Lara Shadow-Voice."

"Not exactly fixed. I need someone with technical focus."

"Nice. Good security." She says.

"What for?" Jake asks, opening the door and getting out.

"Couple of pet projects. You'll head them, have your own schedule for when you do it, good pay and some nice benefits. If they do go onto the market, you'll be given a good percentage of the profit, plus access to materials and specialists few others have. You'll be green-lighted to work on any other projects you would like to as well. What do you think?"

Jake thinks about it for a second. "Sure, sounds good!" He walks over to the unlocked gate. "Here we are..."

Earandil hops out, going carefully into the graveyard. "What was her name?"

"Taeria." Jake says, walking to what appears to be a rather ordinary tombstone. "This is where she was buried.

Earandil sits down, slowly opening his senses.

Quite a few ghosts are in the area, men and women, children and adults. The ghost of a girl who looked a bit like Jake was nearby.

"Taeria? Is that you?"

"What? Oh! Hello! It's been a while since I met another death mage! Hmm.... Did Jakey bring you here?" The ghost looks around. "Ah! There he is!"

"You found her?" Jake asks.

Earandil nods to Jake. "Is there something you want to say to her?"

"Yeah. When the kitri g... got her... I never had the chance to say goodbye. I've wanted to tell her, but... Well, you know... Never had a chance till now."

"Yeah, I can see that." He said, turning to Taeria. "What would you say to Jake?"
