Ceria-Day One

Earandil woke up, stretching as he felt the comfort of his bed at home. The smell of pancakes drifted up from the kitchen. Throwing on his clothes for the day, he vaulted over the banister, and started eating pancakes, grinning as he saw his mother humming and cleaning the counter. Finishing his pancakes, he kisses his mom goodbye and heads off on a walk to the park.

Kaley looks up to the sky and makes a few calculations. Chance of attack... 84 percent. Wonderful. She thinks, as she walks along the street. After a bit of walking, she's spotted by an investigator. He walks over to her, carrying a pair of hand cuffs. "You'll need to come with me. Now." He says.
Kaley just looks up at him. "Right. That'll happen." She raises a hand. In it is a ball of fire. "See this? Back up. Now."
He started to back up, a hand moving towards his laser pistol. "Not a good idea, kid." He set it to stun.
"Yup. That was definitely a bad idea." She points her other hand to it. The gun glows, and explodes.
This was all happening, by chance, beside Earandil's home.

Earandil walks out on this, and stands there staring, before speaking. "What's going on here?!"

The man looks at him. "Nothing, kid." He raises a hand, and a sharp icicle appears. "Now, come on, Kaley."
"Yeah. Right.... No. Move one. I am someone else." She says, and her voice sounds oddly melodic.
The man blinks, and the ice melts. "Yeah..." But then she loses her control, and he snaps back to reality. "Good try, they told me you could do that." The icicle returns.

"Who are you?" He asks into Kaley's mind.

"Another mind reader? I'm- I'm Kaley. Who are you?" She asks, while conjuring up another ball of fire.

"Now, I'm giving you two options here, girl. Either you come with me easily, or I force you to come with me." The man says, glaring at her.

"He's with the government. They want me back. I finally got out a couple weeks ago." She says.

"You've got ten seconds to make up your mind. Ten. Nine."

A loud thunk is heard as Earandil brings the shield down on the investigator's head.

The man falls, rather heavily.

"That works. I was gonna burn him 'till he left, but that works too." She says, nodding as the fireballs went out. "Sorry about that."

Earandil sighs, looking down. "I'm in trouble now, aren't I?"

"Hmm... Depends on if we can make him forget this. He managed to see past my surgery, so... yeah. Either we permanently incapacitate him, or we try and remove this from his memory." She walks over to him. "Mind is not really my specialty though."

Earandil pulls out his energy sword, glancing at the investigator.

Kaley puts a hand on his head, and focuses. She enters his mind, and starts to browse through his memories, but before she finishes, she messes up again and looses her grip. "Shoot. Can't do it. You wanna try?" She says to Earandil.

"Or....." He said holding up the sword.

"That works too." She says simply.

Erandil kneels down, placing a hand on the investigator's head, probing deeply into his mind.

He can find the memories rather easily.

Lara jumped rooftop to rooftop, escaping the facility she had just infiltrated with great ease. She looks down as the wind brushes through her hair and sees three figures next to each other. Using her project abilities she looks and listens more carefully and determines that one standing the probing the other's mind."Wonder whats going on down there?"She whispers to herself. She crouches, and uses her projection powers to her whats going on down there.

Kaley senses the push of another projector and is instantly alert, not that she wasn't already. "Shoot, a trap!" She looks around her, to try and find the projector, though it could easily be useless seeing as the projector could be anywhere in Eray and still be in range. Her left hand bursts into flames as she draws her pistol.

"Oh, Shit!" Lara immediately shifted her arm into a weapon like form, that fires sound waves, and aimed very carefully and quietly.

Edarok waved at her mother as she left the house, plants leaning towards her as she passed. She was grinning, ignoring the comments from the other elves.

As her target locked on she turned her arm back into itself and pulled out her sniper rifle. The sights set, aimed very carefully at her head and finger squeezed the trigger.

Kaley hears the shot, and dodges out of the way. "Got you." She runs a hand over her gun, and it starts to glow a ghostly blue. She aims it towards Lara, using her own projection to help her target. She fires only one bullet, but this bullet explains entirely why she's so bad with mind magic. It's all loaded into her gun. The bullet fires out as a large, bright, and fast blast of mental energy.
