The bridge was a decent sized room, with control panels not quite like anyone was familiar with but control panels all the same.
"First and foremost, who is to be the captain?"

Tim hops out with a little metal captains hat, and after handing his mistress the devices, he raises an arm wire thing.

Avareal immediately says, "Not me!" she then takes the devices, pulling a small screwdriver from her hair and modifying them. "What kind of signals, Sandals? Just life, or specific heartbeats, or other things?"

Shadrac gently runs a hand along the control panel, still humming in his odd way. The toucan lands on the head of the robotic Tim, surveying the room from his new perch.

"...I'd be a -shitty- leader." The little lizard crawls up onto her head, looking around excitdly.

Tim waves his arm wire thing excitedly.

Shadrac flops his hood back suddenly, revealing an aged face, his different Dolores eyes highly disturbing to those who are unused to such things.

"If no one else is willing, I will be the captain." His voice starts out as a croak, growing slowly stronger with each word, as though his throat had forgotten how to speak.

Tim looks sad.

"Very well, and I'll assume Avareal is to be our chief engineer. And I'm not entirely sure if there is a word in your language to properly express what the life sign detectors read in order to function."

"Next, primary helmsman. Or pilot if you prefer the term."
"I can do that, it's one of my specialties."

"I get to be back up pilot, too. Hmm.. Both then. " She begins work on merging the two devices.

Shadrac nods, flipping his hood back up swiftly. Heading to a shadowy corner, he continues to watch the proceedings with interest.

"And me?"

"Medical. I'll take Medical. Best usage of my skill sets."

The hood swings toward her, and he scuttles in front of her, peering intently at her for a brief moment.

"When I am done with this." She says, setting the device on the ground and pulling out a new set of small gadgety things.

she found the circuitry to be based upon gravity waves, and the sensor for operating them operate off of a technology she never heard of before. It still clearly detects her but there's no way to tell how.

Maliya looks at him coldly, showing no emotion.

One of Shadrac's hands slowly raises, softly touching the corners of her mouth, one at a time, gently nudging them up into a smile.

"... Oh my." Her face and voice are both neutral, but she definitely is impressed. "Let's see. I'm going to have to study this. Tim! Get my my magnifier!" Tim dives into the bag.

She blinks in surprise, batting his hands away.

He seizes one of her hands, patting it gently before releasing it and scuttling back to his corner.

She stands there for a moment, the corners of her lips twitching slightly.

As she studies the sensor she discovers it seems to register some form of energy that came off her body, something modern science had not yet measured however. It appears it could take her weeks investigating this small part alone, not to mention win her the nobel prize for proving a new form of life energy exists.

"Crew list complete, at least unless somebody new joins. Feel free to make yourselves at home because I cannot fly until our engineer performs repairs."

Tim climbs out of the bag and hands Avareal the magnifier, which she then uses to examine the technology even further. "Sandals! Let Tim go to the engines. Tim! I want videos of the engines, every inch."
