New Meetings.

Everyone received a message from Edward Knight about an abandoned vessel upon the planet Serpentis VI, and to meet up at the spaceport in New Vescar on stardate 3552 October 15th at the observation area. This message brought you together for reasons of your own and this is where your destiny begins.

Shadrac (Quintilius) limped off the transport, leaning heavily upon a gnarled antique cane, bowed over as though the weight of the world was on his back. At once, he was mobbed by interested parties, the rich reclusive financial genius a subject of great intrigue for many individuals. Fighting his way through the crowd without saying a word, Shadrac ponders his decision to come as he maintains an iron grip upon his telepathy. He recalled reading the message, a feeling of great interest coming over him for no particular reason. He had no need of the money promised, had no ties to this Edward A. Knight, so frankly he had no reason to come, particularly as it meant dealing with the crowds he abhorred so. He knew only a feeling that it was Right that he go, and he simply could not deny the feeling that coursed through him as he prepared to meet this mysterious character.

Lady Avareal Melissa Nycon strolls towards the meeting location. No body recognizes her, for a variety of reasons. Firstly, she never did dress the part, wearing normal clothes. Secondly, she doesn't show off her rather ridiculous intelligence, at least, not much. The only hint to her supergenius is her shirt, which says 'TechnoGoddess" on the front. Thirdly, her pet robot is hidden in the rather large bag she is carrying with her. This bag contains her tech supplies, her computer, and of course, tech books. Upon receiving the message, she immediately search for information on this Edward Knight. She was much distressed when she didn't find much of anything.

The meeting hall was a medium rented out conference room, the hologram projector merely had a sign saying welcome on it currently with several environmental suits on stands against the left wall and Edward knight waiting patiently to see how many people actually would show up.

Lady Nycon strolls into the building. Anyone who caught a glance at her face could tell she was less than pleased. "Who is it that dares to interrupt my computer upgrades?" She says. She doesn't yell. In fact, one can barely tell any emotion at all from her voice. Whether this is due to emotional control or a lack of actual emotion is up to debate. "And why?" She adds at the end.

Shadrac limps into the room, looking around with a peculiar expression upon his face. Upon seeing: "The Young Knight" as he calls Edward, he cocks his head in the style of a curious dog. Flipping up his head, he sinks back into the comforting shadows that conceal his face from the rest of the room. He is wearing simple clothing, a sweater that seems a little looser on his scrawny frame than it should, as well as a pair of slacks that look surprisingly ragged for such a wealthy man to own. The only difference is that someone had sloppily sewn a hood to the neck of the sweater with silvery thread, a sharp contrast against the black which Shadrac preferred. Upon his back he carries a rather large pack, containing clothing, a journal, and certain gear he had thrown together in preparation. Noticing the girl in the tech shirt, he scuttles closer in a disconcerting fashion, personal space apparently meaning nothing to him as he brought his hood very close to the young girl's face.

And just like that, all of her focus is disrupted. "Gaaah! Too close!" She actually falls over. "Don't touch me not so close!" She says, backing up a bit. Her robot chooses this moment to climb out of the bag, throwing itself rather heroically between her and the unexpected person.

Shadrac leans wayyyyyyy down, the hood stopping a bare inch from the robot, head cocking to the other side.

"Beep boop. Bop boop. BEEP!" The robot beeps and boops at Shadrac. Lady Nycon is less than pleased with all of this, and stands back up. "Who are you? Why are you here?" She asks, obviously a little paranoid.

Shadrac says nothing, straightening up and staring back, the shadows of his hood concealing the expression of his face. Suddenly, Shadrac steps back, scuttling to one of the room's corners.

Maliya slips inside, adjusting her glasses and just sighing softly. "Is there a ~reason~ I am being made to deal with... People?" Her little lizard scuttles up to her shoulder, chirruping happily. Obviously, he likes people ~much~ more then his mistress does. That, or he's just hyper. He's a lizard, it'- ~kinda~ hard to tell.

Edward looked up "Well, I was expecting a few more. But we should be able to begin. If you would all take your seats."

"...I prefer to -stand-, thank you."

Lady Nycon looks at all the people. "This. Is. Less. Than. Satisfactory." she says, slowly. Then sits down, in a chair. Tim climbs up onto her lap.

"Alright then, begin simulation 36-a" he said to the holographic projector as it quickly changed over the something that appeared to be a legless beatle. "This is a ship, a very interesting ship. It's obviously not of any known craftsmanship, and it asked for all of you by name. As well as a few others which don't seem to be coming."

And with that, her eyes light up. "Oh. Oh my. I want. I want badly." She states, looking upon the hologram intently. Tim is a little panicked and makes worried motions.

Shadrac peers at the hologram, curious as to which name the ship had given. Glancing at the newcomer, a.k.a. Lizard Lady, Shadrac scuttles over, peering closely at her, personal space flying right out the window.

The lizard climbs off her shoulder, over to the hologram. Maliya looks at the hologram with narrowed eyes. "I always was suspicious of ships..."

"Well, when I tried to open the hatch it instead gave me a printout of names and how to contact all of you, several others as well but either they're late or not coming. Tomorrow I'll take you guys out there to see it up close. All I can really tell about it from what readings I could acquire was it's hull density meant it had the armor of a warship, and it's organic readouts suggest it's a living ship that's been there since long before this planet was terraformed in fact I believe it's a ship that once belonged to the ancients. I have a feeling it selected you guys to be it's crew, however I won't try forcing you to stay. I would like to get it open and see what it's like and hopefully we can do that." he twiddled his fingers nervously "I would like you guys to at least get to know one another tonight, and I do have a building I rented out with enough spare bedrooms for everyone if you don't want to find your own lodgings, whether we can use the ship or not this will be at least a few weeks of research."

"It's obviously high tech. Count me in." She says, still staring at the hologram. Tim does not like it. At all.

Shadrac limps toward the door, clearly intending to leave after viewing the information.

Shaderac hears in his mind and feels an ancient power behind it 'I'm disappointed in you Shaderac, I thought you thrived off of chaos the others may believe your lies but I see through them. With my power you could do so much more. Besides, I can't just let you leave yet.'

'Interesting. Usually I am the one to speak in the minds of others. A man may mislead and never lie. I find I am interested. Perhaps I shall stay.' His mental voice sounds raspy, like a man who has been too long without speaking or water. He turns and limps back into the room, resuming his spot and nodding once at Knight.

Lady Nycon pulls out some parts from her bag and starts building a model of the ship. "Hmm... Assuming the rooms are here, and here, and here...." She mutters to herself as she works. Tim is very helpful, holding parts of it for her as she builds.

"Will there be space for my lizard? I am not leaving him behind. He gets into my things."
