Ceria-Day Two

"Mongo, kel friki nir. Asnorath, ferlteni."

"Good. I'm pretty sure I know what's up with this Jesse kid." Kayley motions for him to follow as she walks back to the couch where Jesse is, picking up her gun.

Earandil moves very slowly, trudging one foot in front of the other.

"This is Jesse. Jesse, this is Earan. You can call me Kayley, by the way." Kayley sits beside Jesse. "So Jesse, how long have you been... Inhibited?"

"As long as I can remember, I'm seriously doubting it with the recent events though-" He pauses to think a bit. "Could I get an answer to what is going on?"

"No care." Earan makes a Berliner for the nearest couch.

"Yes." Kayley says. "You aren't inhibited. You just have a very odd major. Possibly. You have too much energy to be inhibited. And if it is your major... Well either we will work together... or we've got a problem."

"Oh knock off the threats, gods, such an overbearing Bitch."

"If what is my major exactly?"

"Funny. Fine. I suspect you have something... Rarer than rare. Powerful... All the references to it call it 'Possession.' As in you can take possession of... other people." Kayley shakes her head. "I'd be skeptical, but I can see the mind magic there, but you don't have any mind focus." She looks Jesse in the eyes. "Possession, if it is real, is dangerous. I'm not sure if you should even be left alive with that kind of power."

Eda walks up to Earan, and glares. "No cussing."

"Feck off. Me sleepy," Earan mutters, curling up.

"Left alive? I'm not against you, I'm just really confused, how are we sure it's Possession and not Mind?"

Eda twitches. "...Stay." She runs off, coming back with a rag, a bar of soap, and a bucket of water.

"Just kill her, J. Then I can sleep."

"Yes. I have Energy and Mind. I would know if you did. I'm not saying I have to kill you. We just need to work this out. The idea of a Possession Focus is a scary one, but we can work with this. You could be very useful to me. And I can make it worth your while." Kayley says, typing in a number on her phone and showing it to Jesse. "That much, if your willing to help us."

"Double to off her. Or at the very least make her go away and leave me alone."

Eda wiggles her fingers, and vines sneakily wrap themselves around Earan's wrists, ankles, and knees. "Stay STILL."

Ordinarily, Earan would fight, but he is so weak that his attempts to break free leave him shaking and panting for breath. Earan's face takes on a pale grey color, and he appears to be ill.

"I need to know what I'm doing, that many zeroes has to have SOME justification..."

"Just.... off.... her..." Earan's voice is a croaking breath, barely audible.

Eda looks at him, thinks, then runs over to the door, opening it and then returning. "Open your mouth."

"Fighting the aliens. And helping a government experiment on the run. And exposing corruption in the government. Oh, and helping uplift the elves out of second class citizen status." Kayley lists off, adding two thousand to the number with each new addition. Her hands never press any buttons.

"That seems like it could be interesting, I'm in."

"Whatever it is, no. I am going home. Eda, why open my mouth?"
