Ceria-Day One

((Jeez, that's a nice thing, considering what they try to do to humans of all ages and genders! XD))

The thing twitches again, nothing much else in the way of movement availiable to it.

She looks back at the door, and concentrates her hearing, and feels the slow and steady beat of his heart, as well as the up and down motion of his chest. He is asleep.

Lara wraps her trebling hand around the doorknob, nervous to meet the killer. Gathering her courage a second time, she enters the room, unsure of her next step. "You l-look at me." She commands bravely. "Huh?! uh? uggg... I told yo- who are you?" You killed my friend, remember?" "Yes, I remember that, that was one of my finest victo-" BANG! The man is dead, before he even hits the ground.

Proudly walking out, she passes the lone Kitri, actually stopping to pat it on the head with a gloved hand, on the way out.

"They will?" little Eda asks, still worried that she had upset the other boy somehow.

"Yes. Nature is one of the rarest foci. I think, because of the Kitri, they will probably pay you to educate her. She's an okay healer, even untrained." Kaley says, smiling at her.

Earan begins looking to see if there are ghosts nearby.

He senses three old, old Drow spirits, who decided that they would protect this small family from harm, owing to the fact that little Eda is their descendant.
"Yes, we should contact them immediately. One moment, and I'll get you a... Direct line." Kaley says, and pulls out a cellphone. She holds it in her hand, and it dials itself. "Here you go. Set up a meeting for ... oh, say... five o' clock. I happen to know he doesn't leave till seven." she's put the woman on with the highest up man in the Academy, the son of the founder, Bob Willikins.

"What can I do for you today?" He says in a pleasant voice.

Earan tries to talk to them, saying hello pleasantly.

Two of the ghosts pay attention to him. "Greetings, Half-elf. What brings you here today?" One, a female with hair longer than she was, says.

"Ah, well, the application process is a long one, ma'am. Three months waiting, and another examining..." He says.

Kaley shakes her head. "Not possible, tell him she's got a rare, don't tell him what." She says, quietly enough that the phone doesn't hear her. It doesn't hurt that she made it so that the phone wouldn't pick her up easily, either.

"Sir, she has one of the rare foci."
((Can't remember how to spell it! Gah!))

"I am here to help Eda with her talent. My feelings seem to be getting the better of me, though."

"Ah. You have the human healing talent, as she does. That will help. She needs the training." One of the two says, although they both seem to not be moving their mouths.

"Ah... How rare are we talking, exactly? We can't go out of our way for a simple sound master..." He says, in a rather businesslike way of speaking.

"Don't tell him exactly what it is. He should see it on the spot."

"I... I can't train anyone, I'm not very good..."

"Oh, don't be so shy, little spirit talker! You have talent, even the dead can see that." The female ghost leans over and smiles. She looks like she's at her prime, in her most perfect moment. That's how ghosts worked.

"Hmm... So you're telling me a rare foci managed to slip under our radar, then?"

"Don't tell him about before, don't want him having any pre-meeting ideas."

"It would appear so." He puts his hand over the mouth piece for a moment. "Do I tell him about her being half Drow?"

"No, not until he meets her. Tell him you have an opening at five."

Earan inclines his head to her, blushing slightly. "Thank you, Honored Ancestor. I will make sure nothing happens to her. There are enough broken families in this world as it is."

"Aww, that's so sweet. It's sad that so many people don't realize this nowadays." She smiles.

"Can't do it. Got a student starting at four and ending at five thirty. How about six? I've got an hour window around there."

"Good, take it." Kaley says, grinning. "I'll explain when your done."

"Yeah, well, my dad..." He trails off, clenching his teeth.

"Oh. You lost your father? I know how it must feel. I never met mine either." The woman says, sitting on the air in front of him.

"Okay, then. I will see you -and your prospective student- in a few hours then." He hangs up.

"Perfect." Kaley grins. "If you'd said six, he'd probably have managed to weasel out. He's not a bad guy, just a little lazy."

"Alright, then." "Does this mean i get to go to school with the humans and high elves now?"
