"Do they have any food or booze?"

"They don't sound THAT bad.."

"Erifas wants to destroy all of creation, and Cyos already killed me once..." Cyntia trails off, shuddering.

"Oh, I'm sorry. He'll have to go through me if he wants to try again."

Ulrich breaths a small stream of fire, looking annoyed.

Cynthia winces when she sees the fire, her eyes starting to widen in panic.

Ulrich quickly clamps his jaws shut, looking apologetic. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you..."

"It's ok.." Cynthia whispered, biting her lip.

"Do you want me to put you down?"

Cynthia shook her head. "Fire can't get up here easily..."

"I'm pretty sure I'd have to break my neck to hit you," he says in agreement.

"But... I'm half dragon. Without fire, I'd die..." He looks sad.

"But with fire, I.." she trails off, shaking.

"What's wrong?" he asked, still looking slightly depressed.

He looked extremely sad at this, his ears drooping. "Oh, I'm sorry."

"I-it's ok... I-it wasn't you f-fault..."

Ulrich lands on the deck, setting her down and kneeling in front of her. "I pledge my life to protect you from fire, my life is yours." He said, bowing his head so that he was looking down.

Cynthia blinks, then hugs him. "Thank you..." she whispers.

((They aren't on a boat... I think...))

He nods to her, then straightens up again, yawning.
