Twilight of the Gods

"Let me put it this way, no matter if you fight me or if you help me fight them, I swear I will help get your father out, if it means my life." determination reaches the eyes of Xalmyst.

"So will you fight with me?" Xalmyst walks towards them, and extends his hand.

Laryn takes the food and drink and gives some to Amilee, "Here, need to keep your strength up." She then turns back towards those who offered it to them and speaks carefully and meticulously, "Thank you, and although I would not consider them readily my friends, I am curious, what purpose does fighting serve your gods?"

"The fighting serves no purpose," a small, ancient looking woman replies. "If they did the intelligent thing, they would take small amounts of blood periodically from everyone, instead of forcing others to die."

"If we-
"All survive."
They say, swinging their blades up in one motion, but aiming for nothing in particular, giving him a large amount of time to react.

Xalmyst unsheathes his blade, and stabs the ground, an icy dome coming out of the cracks to defend himself.

The blades strike it and bounce, causing cracks in the dome from the force of the brothers simultaneous blows as the continue to smash at it with their blades.

Amilee nibbles at the food some, not eating much, looking worried.

"What the hell?" Xalmyst sheathes his bow and unsheathes his sword, starting to parry the blade, looking for the weak point of the fighters.

They appear to be consummate professionals, but at the same time, they leave a glaring opening even the most beginner of fighters could see, flashing it for a split second before closing it slightly, leaving room for a knockout blow, but not a killing thrust as they weave their blades in and out, taking turns on both guard and attack.

Xalmyst nods as he rolls to the side and hits the spot with the butt of his blade, not just hard enough to make a convincing knockback.

Tenach staggers back, giving a small nearly imperceptible nod before he and his brother resume the attack.

Rachelle wanders to some place that is somehow nearby everybody at once, feeling dazed from dehydration.
