"Gnasher, quit that! This is Gnasher," he said, pointing to the goat that butted him.

Avelion nods at the goat.

"And the other one is Biter. They're Thor's goats..."

"Greetings, Biter."

As if in response, he takes a bite out of his clothing.

"..."

"OH! BAD GOAT!"

"My.... Shirt?"

"Sorry, he's eats when he's nervous..."

"I... See. It can't taste very good, you know."

"May not to you, but he IS a goat, albeit a rather large one."
((I KNOW HIS NAME IN NORSE!!!!))

"Yes, but it's all sewer flavored."

"Biter will eat just about anything, no matter the flavor, if he thinks we'll eat him again..."

"Again?"

"Yeah. As long as we don't damage his bones, he can keep coming back."

Sekatoul was silent so far, but that makes his head snap up. "... That's... strange, even to one such as I."

"Thor's magick, ask him how it works."

"I see the principle, but eating him repeatedly? Isn't that cruel?"

"No. He is killed pain free. Sometimes, when the winter is hard, we give him to the followers, so they might live."

"Well, if that is the case."

"You didn't think we'd just cut his head off willy nilly? Grandma would be PISSED."

"I'm not surprised." Somehow, in that last couple of minutes, a girl who looked a lot like an older version of VIly had shown up. She had her wings, ans wearing a trenchcoat, and was on a circular hoverpad.

The old man stares at her.

She grinned, showing fangs. "So, where's my cousin? Granther said to bring her home."

The old man keeps staring, and the years seem to slip off of him. "She's over there," James said, pointing.
