Stonepaw picks up a rock, sharpening his blade, and working out the nicks, taking great care and patience with each one.

"Oh! That's a nice blade!"

"Yes, it is. It was my grandsire's blade."

"It's very interesting."

"Why does it interest you?"

"It's almost glowy. He must have cared for it very greatly."

"He did. It is very old, and well-loved by my people."

She smiles politely.

"But you probably don't want to hear the story," he said, slinging the blade back into it's massive sheath.

"I'm a darkling, we love stories."

"It was forged a long time ago, in the shadow of a volcano, after a falling star fell to earth. It united the tribe, and only the true leader can weild it."

Mara looks impressed.

"What?"

"That's a nice story."

"Why?"

"Because it's short, and to the point, but makes sense."

"How does it make sense?"

She smiles, and shrugs,

He blinks at her several times.

"What?"

"Bipeds are strange..."

"Could be worse, I could be Syracuse. Or seven."

"Syracuse...? Seven...?"

"Syracuse is an awesome, if annoying guy who talks in riddles, and as fro being seven... It's a looooooong story."
