The Event Horizon of the Nebulis Singularity

A droid could find itself in any situation at any possible moment. Hundreds of thousands, of millions, of billions of events and possibilities were ready to play out at every opportunity. The only the best droids were designed to interface with with a situation of variable possibility. HK-16 was better than the best, fully capable of nearly every task conceivable by other conventional models. Multifunctional operations and observations were noted saved, studied and solved on the nanosecond scale, intel transfered, decrypted, encrypted, and decoded through a series of several cycles before informations was refreshed and the process started four to five times over again to root out even the slightest of details, flaws and especially or errors. From the moment the enigmatic figure emerged it was captivating, and revolting.

"Could this unit smile... it assures you it would be. Bakura! Sum of possibility. Bakura! Inquisitor of believability. Bakura!! Shifter: Probable to Improbable. - Bakura: The Greatest Quagmire!"

From the mechanical tick wounding at the higher points of the droids... voice, came an almost real sense of excitement, zeal, and joy. The tone was a dramatic leap from a dull if not dreary monotone, to a note which bound with life from the cold hollow of it's synthetic voice-box. All grew silent in the hall, the dramatic flair which sprang so willingly now receded; HK-16 was motionless, looking about blankly if at all, trapped in the tight space between 'Understanding' and 'Reason' looking for any sort of malfunctioning program, haywire virus, a means of making sense of what exactly caused the outburst.

"Analyzing..." Was all it uttered in the aftermath.

Compounding the most intricate of detailed errors, data-stream corruption, loss, encryptions, even calculations which were at one point thought in error...

"Adjusting Parameters..."

Suddenly, like the flicker of a dying flame, showing the aged scrawling on a tattered canvas, it all fit together lick a picture... A Dark Picture. In actuality all that was pieced together was an old program, old as the droid itself; and as with most programs, there is a directive, a a singular goal or objective in which it was specified to carry out... this one was just about to kick in. A static buzzing filled the room, HK-16 jolted at it's instant, more than responsive to it as it would seam. This reaction was caused due to it's struggling attempt to deny the program what it sought. For the droid this struggle was a battle of equations, and HK-16 was quickly loosing. Whatever this very viral-like attack was, it knew just how and where to bypass every single one of it's countermeasures, either shutting them down, or passing unfazed, and unrecognized as it enveloped system after system. 16's final wonderment's were of the origin of such a code, it's conception, ability, and purpose, all of which it knew those around it would soon find out.

Finally, there came the inevitable jolting noise as the droid appeared to power down, the glow fading from it's viewing ports, sudden stillness of it's appendages and the silence which followed. There came a brief pause, a moment of waiting, and observation, a few on the council caught in speculation, others found themselves in a state of caution, not all knew the specifics of the HK-series assassin droid. Disguised as protocol droids with their assassination functions concealed to lull targets into a false sense of security before making their strike. The earliest such droid was HK-01, responsible for the Great Droid Revolution on Coruscant in 4,015 BBY. As many would know, especially the Jedi, this was the first spark of the great flame which became the Old Sith Wars. It was during the Revolution where a Jedi Master named Arca Jeth learned the technique of short-circuting a droid by using the Force. After the rogue assassin droid HK-01 was finally captured the Republic spent many years recovering from the attacks. Droid designers and manufacturers then turned to weapons developers to work on ion weapons that would short-circut a droid's electronic systems. The result of this conflict would be an end to the budding "droids' rights" movement for a time. These events were later chronicled into the book Conflagration: An Eyewitness Account of the Great Droid Uprising.

Only the Jedi, Sith, and a handful of others knew of the HK-series, and could recognize a droid if spotted, and the Revolution earned them much infamy. However, since the time of HK-01's rebellion, the HK-series was thought ended, that is, until the arrival of this unit HK-16, which, unbeknownst to the council was more similar to 01 than they could realize.

There came a low humming from deep within the droids' metal chassis as it began to boot up, only now there was something different.

"The Second Great Schism... began when a small sect of Jedi Knights began practicing extended uses of the Force. By relying more and more upon the Force, these Knights learned that using the Force of sufficient intensity could bend life itself. With their new powers, the Knighs experimented upon other life-forms to create new species and predators as extensions of their will. It was postulated that their power could even be used to end death and revive dead worlds. Other Jedi looked upon these new powers with suspicion, suspecting that such power would only lead to abuse. The earliest rebels, the Legions of Lettow, had been defeated in the First Great Schism, but their legacy remained, and a second group of dissidents would emerge, led by such rogue Jedi as Xoxaan, Karness Muur, and... Ajunta Pall."

HK-16 spoke with a tone that was very-much unlike it's own, with words, names and events of some of the darkest parts of Jedi history. From hall filled with a cold but steady wind. Creeping with was a faint but stark Dark Side Aura.

It was now that he appeared, as if from no where, standing beside the droid, hooded, and cloaked with his head lowered, pale lips stiff, and ready to speak of their own accord, the rest of it's features, blanketed and concealed in it's draping, both snug, and secure for the time being.

"All great conflicts begin with passion, and this one was no different. Firmly adamant in protecting their newly-aquired powers, this sect of Jedi sought to convince the other Jedi to join their quest for eternal life and galactic bliss. But... they were not convinced, and tried to distance themselves from the situation. They ran... Firmly convinced that their way was right, the arguments inevitably turned to conflict. The rogue Jedi were exiled along with their teachings. A war had begun that would last a hundred years."

His muse expressed itself in a deep, low chuckle. Everything in the now, was hysterical.

"We have come to this point many times throughout the galaxies history, at every interval. We ruin the countries we govern, and the people in our care. We slaughter our enemies, and sacrifice all our allies. We will keep killing untill there is nothing left but to destroy ourselves... It will never be enough."

The words flow with more thrall and distinction than any could expect, elegant, elaborate, and entirely divisive from that of your traditional Sith.

"Stories do not do him justice..." Whispered one of the masters as he folded his hands and rest his chin about them. The Sith, raised himself, looking about the room council chambers as if standing trial before them. Crimson peered from deep within it's hood, meeting each and every gaze, challenging any, and all. From figure to figure he turned, paused, studied, and opted a sort of mental battle, looking into the very souls of these men and women, these Jedi Masters. One by one until he came then, and with much anticipation, to the one Bakura, and as his gaze settled, tracing the figure of this man, while most would find a certain... elevation whist in his presence, all he managed to raise on the Sith was the leftmost part of his lips, which formed a mysterious grin.

"Bakura..."

He muttered, and suddenly the previously heard enthusiasm which first emitted from the droid became recognized as his own, not quite monotone, but one could easily recognize the speech pattern of Kreia, and see how it mimicked this Sith's. Mearor would realize this almost instantly, as he has had spent some time with the girl in the past few days. But, from this one there was a significant difference in it's speech, if one really listened they could hear a sort of static noise which hung closely in the background of every word it spoke. It was a sound unlike that of any creature in the galaxy, not quite a second voice as much as a string of chaotic and daunting sounds which strung together in such a harmonious way as to mimic the Sith's own words. A voice that spoke with this manner was not only ready, but fully able, and willing to command entire legions, if not more. It stirred the vigor of an individual, then twisted, and subjugated it's will, once broken it would undergo further manipulation, changing it inside and out, turning will into need, and the lack of steady, or sound thought. Only disorder. The Sith, cloaked as it was, visually could not seem a very prominent figure, certainly enigmatic, and tenacious, but these were all that escaped the dark wrap that shielded it's true form from prying eyes.

"Jedi..."

The Sith began, it's voice low and in contemplation of it's own words, these words of pivotal importance to the Order, and the decision following would decide not only their fate, but that of the entire galaxy as well. A choice fully capable to tear every life asunder if made needlessly.

"Do you seek peace eternal, for the people of the republic? A hope that lives may progress unhindered and unaffected by the crude nature of the Dark Side? Or... would you watch chaos befall everything you stand for? Like a great flame, purge all that which is worth protecting in the darkest hours of our time, setting loose great destruction upon all who do not knell to Bogan."

It approaches the centermost part of the room, looking up through the hood, speaking to the counsel as a whole.

"I present you with this ultimatum: Join me or die. The choice... is yours."
