Welcome to the crazy. (Actually, at the moment, it's rather serious!)

"Now I want you to focus, and focus hard, everything you have into how much you love her. If you can do that, the spell will be broken."

That was easy. Images of the girls birth mother flooded her mind, as well as Lucifer, who had raised Ice from poverty. She thought of Dea, and Neb. And little Thaillog- He was another reason she loved the girl. But the most prevalent image was her, before Serinity and Dasious got a hold of her.

The wings begin to shift from ice to flesh, and James watches, waiting for the perfect moment to use the last of the vial.

Vilymea's eyes open once more, and she whimpers.

"Relax, it will hurt, but that is a good sign, it means it is beginning to graft."

"N-n-no t-t-t-t-ouch..." she whimpers.

"You need to trust me. I know you have experienced terrible things, but I am only here to help you."

"I swear to you, by all that I hold sacred, that I will not harm you."

"I promise," he said, smiling. The wings finish turning flesh, and he waits until he can remove the bindings and cement the connections to the stumps.

She relaxed slightly, shaking.

He slowly unwraps the binding, spreading even portions of the remaining liquid onto the connections, cementing them, and preventing them from coming apart.

She whimpers, clinging to Ice.

"Well, I'd rest those for a little while, but they appear to be healed."

Ice sets Vily on the bed, and the girl whimpers. "Am here, ch'ld..."

"I'll just leave you two alone, then." James walks off into the bathroom.

Ice sits next to Vily, whispering to her until she falls asleep.

James walks out of the bathroom and sits some distance away to give them privacy.

Eventually, Vilymea falls asleep. Ice stands up, fire in her eyes. "Serinity dies..."

James watches Ice carefully, through half opened eyes.

"You know..." she mutters, "In ambassador training, they said it was a bad idea to kill and maim. They said it disturbed the upworlders. They also said to speak common, despite my difficulties. I've already broken one rule, why not another?" A demonic smile plays across her face.

James walks up to her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

She looks up.

"You need to rest. What you did took a toll on your body. Rest, and I will come help you."
