Week Two - May the Games (and classes) Begin

"I WOULD HAVE, BUT SHE RAN AWAY!!!"

"Then the obvious answer is to find her and explain."

"Where... The library, right?"

"Right. Where else would Shali go?" Hannah says it like the library is the obvious choice.

Lys hurried to the library, hunting for Shali.

Shali's hidden in a convenient little niche toward the back of the library.

Lys stalks towards her, the apology clear on his face.

Hannah follows behind him, though Shali hardly notices them. Her arms are wrapped around her knees, and she's facing the wall with her head down.

Lys bends down and scoops her up, turning her to face him before setting her down. "We need to talk."

Shali turns her head to look up at him. "What is there to talk about?"

((Can't read that... WTH...))
"Umm... What?"

"What is there to talk about?" she asks, a little louder this time.

"How about why I got so mad?"

Shali bites her lip. "Wasn't it because I made a mistake and trusted a Knight?"

"Yeah, you made a mistake, but I took something out on you that wasn't your fault, and I'm sorry."

"Yeah," he said, a tear falling down his cheek. "I am."

Shali reaches up, and pulls him into a hug. Seeing Hannah, she motions for her to join the hug. "Apology accepted..."

"ACK!" He said, being attacked by them both. "Would you like to hear why I hate the Knights?"

"I had a cousin growing up, the nicest guy you'd ever meet, but he was a little slow, and he lacked magick. My parents and I looked after him, until one day, a Knight, Vincent's father, I believe, said he could not only fix his mind, but give him magick, as well. Naturally we jumped at the chance. Then one day, a letter was sent to us by one of the Knight Manor maids. She said that there was something we had to see with my cousin. So in the night, my father, grandfather, and I snuck into the manor, and found my cousin. Do you know what they had done to him?"

"What?" It wasn't Shali that had whispered this, surprisingly, but Hannah.

"Because he hadn't developed magick, they cut him, hundreds, no thousands, of times. He was slowly bleeding to death when we got there. When he saw us, he smiled, closed his eyes, and died in peace. The nicest man I'd ever met, and they butchered him, murdered in cold blood because he didn't respond to their experiments." Tears of anger were coursing down his face, as he looked grim, bawling now as the tears flowed freely.

Shali and Hannah hugged him gently, softly mumbling words of apology.
