Week Two - May the Games (and classes) Begin

"Um..." Shali mutters, turning to Hannah. "He's the only person who ever survived the killing curse, Shandalier." "Oh, gods. You've been taking nick name advice from M@M again, haven't you?" "Yup!"

Kelsi smiles. "Hey, you w-wanna check out this b-book?"

"Sure!"

"I've got the m-materials in my room. It's close! Y-you can all come!"

"I guess we might as well."

Kelsi leads them to a room in the lower dungeons. "Alohomora." She says, and a tall, thin painting opens to reveal her room, a deep blue walled three room area. "W-welcome to my l-little hole in the g-ground."

Hannah smiled at that comment.

Kelsi goes to the small desk in the main room and opens the book. "Blank... Invisible ink?" She says, reaching into the desk for a small bottle. She lets a drop drip onto a page, and it turns black for a second, then disappears. "T-that's not supposed to happen..." She continues to try some things, casting spells, but there is no result...

Ginny watches all this, and helps where she can.

About half an hour later, Kelsi closes the book. "As f-ar as I can tell, it's b-blank!"

"Try writing something in it."

"Good idea." Kelsi says, taking out a purple quill. Yes, purple. "Endless ink quill. Got it as a present." She says absent mindedly as she writes in the book. 'This book is blank.' She writes.

"Hey! The ink's disappearing!" Ginny says, looking over her shoulder.

"That's strange..."

'Not blank.'

"... The book just wrote back..."

"Cool! Let me try writing something!"

"S-sure!" Kelsi says, handing Shali the book.

'Hello, moron.' Shali writes. 'I am Shali.'

'Moron? Call me Tom.'

"Strange book."

'Tom? Like from Terry Pratchett's books?'

'Who?'

"Miss Vanga?" The room's portrait entrance calls out.

"Yes?"

"I've just been told that some strange monsters are in the school, would you like me to close and keep them out?"

"Um... Yes, p-please."

'Tom, answer Shali's question. Or I'll flush you down the toilet.'

'No you won't. Who is this "Terry Pratchett?"'

'A muggle- actually maybe he IS a wizard... Bah, doesn't matter that much- writer.'

'I see.'

'How are you talking? You're a book.'

'I don't know, I just am.'

'Can I eat you?'

((... Portrait door thing is closed, and he doesn't have the password!))

((Where the hell did he get that?))
