| To put it simply, thanks to Verizon wireless ISP's (Charter, comcast, Verizon ect) or in other words the evilest companies in the world can currently set up priority levels on specific webpages/services (Services like netflix) to purposefully make you wait longer for specific websites and such to load. Now the FCC chairman is looking into making this an actual law, but there is hope because the FCC is actually required to listen to public outcry (I know unbelievable!) Anyway, if this becomes law our ISP's can purposefully make even this website take 15 minutes to load unless forumotion pays them...well basically whatever the ISP's want. Link on how to tell them off: http://consumerist.com/2014/04/29/everything-you-need-to-know-before-e-mailing-the-fcc-about-net-neutrality/FCC's email for talk about this exact issue: openinternet@fcc.gov. TL;DR please tell the freaking FCC that internet fastlanes are teh suxxors but in better words. | |
