Xbox One, X-1

Well, here's my opinions on it.

New gaming console:
Meh, I had a SNES until PS2 came out though. No strong opinion.

'Better' Graphics:
Console can suck it PC still has the best graphics.

No Backwards compatibility:
Honestly this is points against switching, but not a dealbreaker. Hell I got the 360 afterall and it's not very backwards compatible, just means I wouldn't get it till Elder Scrolls 6 came out.

Able to be a cable box:
I don't use cable, I use mostly netflix. No need to upgrade here.

No more used games or sharing games:
Okay, this is the flaw that kills it for me right here. If I buy a game for $50 dollars, it's mine. You don't have the right to say 'I put the ones and zeros there so it's still mine' I bought it, I should be able to loan it out to my friends at any point in time without them having to pay for the game themselves. Sure it stops game stop from ripping people off left and right, but seriously? Seriously? If I pay for it, to own it I should be able to share it or sell it at my own luxury and Microsoft shouldn't need to get a cut of it. THIS IS NOT SPARTA THIS IS BULLSHIT!

Always on Kinect:
Okay this doesn't help either, I'm mildly paranoid and usually calm my nerves by reminding myself that my life is so boring if anyone is really spying on me they should kill themselves. But that doesn't mean I necessarily want my game console to always be watching me, listening.

Must go online once daily or will not work:
Psh, yea really makes getting a CONSOLE worth it. What next microsoft? Cactus toilet paper? Triple spine for extra pricklyness.

500GB HDD:
Oh mah gawd, when I bought my TABLET it came with a 500GB wifi drive free. Sorry but really with how you need to fully DL games now so you can security check them so they will work for another day 500GB will fill up fast. So this is just sarcastic of them to put such a small drive in.

Definately agree, but the ONE reason I would get it for is exclusives that I might be interested in. For example, I would buy it for a Fable 4, little else. And If Microsoft is really smart they'll make it modable and put it on pc. So, no, I don't think I'll be getting an X-1.

Yeah, this really screws people who enjoy gaming offline, whether because they cannot go online, or because they just plain don't like playing against other people. I certainly don't, so ninety percent of the time, I would probably forget, and then I would have to hook the damn thing up AGAIN just so I could play games OFFLINE. Pretty fucking stupid. Plus, it is so much easier to do cool things on the PC that consoles seem outdated, even though this one is "state of the art." Not only that, but if I wanted to play my games up on a TV with a gaming remote, I could. And, it would probably be a lot easier than hooking up the Xbox... And is it just me, or is voice recognition creepy? Not simply due to the Big Brother implications Safire pointed to, but because if someone were to walk in and see you sitting there, alone, talking to your console.... Well, let's just say you might get a padded room. The Xbox One seems to deliver almost nothing useful, particularly when you compare it to its older brother. The 360 had better backwards compatibility, I sure as hell didn't need to talk to it, or download all of my games, which is stupid. It had saves, some DLC's, and apps that allowed me to watch good shit, like Amazon and Netflix streaming.

In other words: The Xbox One can go fuck itself.

Agree. Wii-U is awesome. Nintendo is getting closer and closer to virtual reality. How long until Sony and Microsoft rip off the technology?

N64 forever! That was my childhood. Sort of. The reason I enjoy console gaming is that I grew up in a household where video games were banned. We had one central computer that we all had to share, and it was a piece of shit, so I grew up feeling as though consoles were a guilty pleasure. Also, Legend of Zelda. That is all.
