Kuyekul is a hot, muggy land, featuring the most diverse flora and fauna in the world. All through the day, and into the night, the jungle is alive with the sounds of thousands upon thousands of birds, beasts and some of the more unusual forms of life that inhabit this land. Kuyekul is shielded from the outside world by the country of Telnor to the east, the jungle wilds to the south, and cut off from outside sea travelers by the Ancient Void, a few miles to the northeast of its only coast. Despite the lush jungles, Kuyekul is a rocky place, with large mountains bisecting it several miles northwest of Telnor. Though it is a small nation, the jungles and diversity of the plant and animal life make Kuyekul seem much larger to outsiders. Only the most skilled of guides know the routes through the jungles, as the peoples of Kuyekul cut no paths, relying on the exceptionally fast growth of the jungle to cover any trails that might emerge from the steps of their people.
On the subject of the people of Kuyekul, they were once a brilliant, gifted people, whose recent leadership has turned them into arrogant, brutal individuals, whose appetite for blood is nigh unquenchable. Years ago, they offered small offerings of blood, generally cut from the hand of their priest-king, but now they have built massive stone temples to their gods, the massive stone slabs in the center serving an obvious and grisly purpose. Their sacrifice of choice are the warriors of the outside world, delighting in showing their superiority over outsiders, often times using subversive means such as trickery and cunning schemes involving using their abominations to draw warriors into a central area, and surrounding them with their enormous numbers. These are a people who are less interested in skill than they are with numbers, possessing much fewer elite warriors, and instead relying upon their knowledge of the jungle and their superior numbers to win the day.
