Samuas follows with his book in his cloak.

Loup leads them through a large marble arch, and they are suddenly somewhere completely different. The ground for miles is sloping, and uneven. There is a heaviness to this place, and a feeling as though this place had seen the beginnings of legends. The skin of those who enter this place prickles and itches, as though hot needles were pressed gently into the skin.
"Welcome to Cae Dirennis. We will spend several hours each day for three days here. This land is spelled to enhance development of strength in a relatively short time. This is where I and many others have trained. This place is where you will undoubtedly be broken and remade a thousand times over the next three days. You will know when we have reached the halfway point, when you come to changing facilities. There is to be no stragglers. We run at the pace of the slowest. However, if I catch anyone walking, we will start over. Oh! One more thing: whilst running, you must maintain magic of some kind. All of my students ready?"

Zorvan giggles. "Ah, to be young again."

Alice doesn't respond at first, then Set gives her a Look. "Get in there, Childling. I won't have any child of mine weaker than I am." He then grins. "You'll do just fine."

Alice then goes to stand near whoever looks most interesting.

Leis leaves Zorvan in charge of Kyt.

Saronda nods mutely, tail unwrapping itself from her waist. Nonathletic though she may be, she still looks over the field, mentally mapping out paths, determined not to be the slowest.
Meelan smiles. "Mind if I run with y'all, Loup?"

"It's not like I get much exercise, anyway, and it may give me an idea for my next class."

"That's fine by me."

Saronda would swallow nervously. "D-dying?"

Eris shows up in front of Zorvan. "Oh Zoorvan! Catch me if you can!" She says, throwing a sparkle of chaos in his face, before running of ahead of everyone. Zorvan hands Kyt over to the nearest bystander, and runs straight off after the chaos goddess, grinning.

Alice is by Leis, and Leis instructs her to stretch a bit. "Why?"

"Because we are going to be running. Like any exercise, you should warm up before hand. First lesson for a fire mage; Always warm up. Starting cold is a surefire way to get burned."

"Oh, and Alice, Darling, no cheating! Unless good ol' Loup lets you get away with it, in which case, cheat all you want!" He laughs his cackle, and fades, watching from a vague definition of 'above.'

Alice sighs. Her father, though she loves him, can get on her nerves. Often. "Yes, Father." She stretches, as Leis suggested.

Saronda just kinda... Meeps.

Loup Calls his coat to him, catching it over his arm, taking his old battered belt in the kind of smooth, easy motion that many less graceful people tend to envy. "Does everyone has a good hydration source?"

Alice holds out a hand palm up, a stream of water suddenly trickling up her arm to form a hovering ball of water over her palm. "Daddy says I need to wait to become a storm goddess. I think he's just jealous."

Leis finds this amusing.

Off in the distance they can hear Zorvan and Eris taunting/teasing/flirting at each other.

"You do need to wait, Youngling. Hey, you two! Don't make me come over there! I don't need to be corrupted by your 'love'!" This last is shouted at Zorvan and Eris, clearly irritable.

"I have a bag that seems to have everything in it..."

Loup waves his hands, and several water bottles appear, one before each student.
"These shall never run out of fluid, no matter how much you drink. Take one if you need one."
Adam snags one, and returns to doing backbends.

Their laughter is quite clear.

Leis takes a water bottle, then returns to warming up, both with fire and stretches.

Alice looks bored. She amuses herself by making the water make pretty patterns.

Alice starts running.

Leis follows, keeping up easily. Fire mages need to be physically fit.

Alice continues her water creation, and starts running it through a kaleidoscope of colors.

Leis, of course, calls fire forth from her palms.

Adam bites down upon a piece of metal, channeling the strength and endurance of the metal to fuel his run. Loup jogs backwards at the head of the group, watching the runners carefully.

Saronda hurries after them, doing okay, for the moment. She keeps up a fireball spell as she runs, trying to pay attention to both it, and the ground.

Meelan hums as she follows, keeping up surprisingly easily. Her hair constantly changes color.
