Prolouge

I was there, drifting, an endless void some called it, the ship that I once lived on was now in ruins, the inhabitants, all dead. My pistol strapped to my side, rifle sheathed, my hand on the handle, my finger near the trigger, I unsheathed it. Slowly I took it out of the black holster. Diseased monsters approached from the ruins of the citadel, the main station, I made the first shot. Blood came out of the monster's head as twenty more came out, this looks like the end, but when did it start? As they approach I try to remember, a time before the outbreak, a time when there was peace.
